On September 14, the Care & Rehabilitation Expo China 2025 came to a successful close. This Expo, themed “Technology powers well-being sharing”, brought together more than 430 companies and institutions, including 92 international organizations from 17 countries and regions, setting new records in both scale and internationalization. During the three-day grand event, nearly 50,000 professional visitors attended. The venue was packed with energy and active exchanges, successfully staging a high-level gathering for the rehabilitation and assistive products industry.
Technology Empowerment
The Expo served as a global debut platform for assistive technologies, where numerous innovative products and cutting-edge technologies were unveiled. Tangible, hands-on innovations triggered waves of immersive experiences on site. Visitors queued eagerly to experience stair-climbing wheelchairs, brain-controlled wheelchairs, walking exoskeletons, accessible welcabs, AI guide dogs, AI smart glasses, smart hearing aids, accessible information tools, intelligent prostheses, nursing robots, and other frontier technologies. The exhibition area was bustling interactive atmosphere made breakthroughs in tech-enabled support for seniors and people with disabilities the focal point of the entire event.
At the “Launch Event for Innovative Assistive Products,” leading tech innovators released a series of pioneering products targeting seniors and people with disabilities. These new products covered smart mobility, hearing and vision aids, home care, and more, while integrating cutting-edge technologies such as brain-computer interfaces, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things, demonstrating the vast potential of technology in empowering barrier-free living.
China Unicom, vivo, and iFlytek showcased innovations in accessible information solutions to help seniors and the hearing-impaired communicate more smoothly. China Mobile’s Embodied Intelligence Industry Innovation Center launched the “Lingxi” electronic guide dog, providing precise obstacle avoidance and navigation for the visually impaired. Xiaoxintong introduced China’s first AI-based tapping call device, significantly improving home safety for seniors. The strong on-site response highlighted how innovation continues to drive industrial transformation and practical application in the assistive technology sector.
Remarkable Results
The Expo floor was abuzz with exchanges and negotiations, and many exhibitors expressed high satisfaction with the results. Delegations from Hunan, Liaoning, Shenzhen, and Suzhou secured contracts worth over RMB 10 million on-site. XSTO received purchase intentions exceeding RMB 3.5 million. QJ Rehab closed deals exceeding RMB 1.2 million. GAC Trumpchi, Wisking, and others reported nearly RMB 1 million in intended orders. Additionally, Yijiang Medical gained over 10 potential agents and distributors, and Ever Care successfully signed 1,000 orders.……

Professional Buyers Converge
The Expo attracted a large number of professional buyers from home and abroad. Hundreds of overseas buyers from more than 50 countries and regions, including the United States, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Russia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Greece, Hungary, Sweden, Belgium, Australia, Mexico, Argentina, Singapore, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Mongolia, came specifically to the Expo to procure products. These buyers represented various institutions, such as hospitals, rehabilitation centers, prosthetics & orthotics centers, trading companies, and associations of persons with disabilities, reflecting the strong demand and high attention from the global wellness and rehabilitation market.
Majid Rashed, President of the Asian Paralympic Committee, traveled from Dubai to attend, purchasing wheelchairs and other products. He stated that the Expo brought together a wealth of innovative products capable of transforming the lives of persons with disabilities, allowing everyone to find the equipment and solutions they need, and he is very much looking forward to participating again in 2026. Representatives from an Indonesian rehabilitation institution attended for the first time, seeking advanced rehabilitation devices and training methods, hoping to establish cooperation with Chinese manufacturers. “The Care & Rehabilitation Expo offers a rich and diverse range of exhibits that are well worth experiencing firsthand. I’m very much looking forward to visiting again in 2026.”
Domestic buyers included groups from national disability federations, civil affairs systems, hospitals, rehabilitation institutions, special education schools, research institutions, colleges & universities, elderly institutions, distributors, and industry associations. The Shijingshan Disability Federation’s Limb Disability Association highly commended the Expo for its strong technological content and for showcasing the unlimited potential of innovation in welfare.
Beijing School for the Blind praised the Expo’s professionalism and forward-looking features, noting its role in raising awareness and understanding of special groups’ needs. The Special Education School of Wuhou District, Chengdu, remarked that the wide range of intelligent rehabilitation aids showcased at this Expo, covering living, mobility, reading, and language support, demonstrated breakthroughs at the forefront of technology and significantly enhanced the daily life and learning experiences of people with special needs.
Experts and Scholars Praise
The Expo hosted over 30 academic exchange and industry matchmaking events, with 300+ experts, scholars, and industry leaders engaging in in-depth discussions on topics such as technology-enabled support for people with disabilities, assistive product innovation, rehabilitation services, elderly care industry, and special education development, promoting integration across industry, education, research, and application.
International organizations such as the World Health Organization and ATscale (Global Partnership for Assistive Technology), along with representatives from Belt and Road countries, joined the dialogue on assistive technology demand and cooperation, fostering collaborative global development and resource integration.
Saranchuluun Otgon, Member of the Mongolian Parliament, highly praised the advancement and practicality of Chinese assistive products and expressed interest in building long-term partnerships with Chinese suppliers.
Seydina Ousmane Ba, Director of the National Orthopedic Service Center of Senegal, expressed hope to further expand cooperation with China and the international community through the platform of this Expo, and to gain greater support in terms of technology, products, and market resources.
Yang Han, Secretary-General of the China Association of Rehabilitation Technology Transformation and Promotion, noted the Expo’s global influence, its role in advancing “government-industry-academia-research” collaboration, and its push to take Chinese innovations and technologies worldwide.
Wang Yu, Executive Director of the Key Laboratory of Elderly-Friendly Architecture and Environment at the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and of the Lab of Architecture for Senior Citizen at the China Academy of Building Research, believed that this Expo effectively brought together government, industry, academia, and research institutions to address the real needs of persons with disabilities and the elderly, promoting the practical implementation and translation of technologies, and truly advancing the principle of “technology serving humanity”.
